I'm curious what underlying patterns you think of in regards to the formation of lipomas? It makes me think about metabolic syndrome-esque patterns (elevated cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, etc.). Perhaps underlying congestion in liver and lymphatics? These are just my random senses of it without having really dug into any of the pathophysiology behind them yet. I was curious your thoughts on it, if you have any good leads, suggestions for further studies, etc.
As for treatment, my mind goes to alteratives, specifically those for swellings/lymphatics. I suppose I was thinking of figwort, cleavers, chickweed, and other alteratives. But I was wondering if anything is done topically for them? Like some sort of medicated castor oil poultices or something?
At what point do you think a lipoma should be checked out by a doctor?
Thanks
