Hi, David--my 45-year-old daughter is about to have a double mastectomy. She doesn't have cancer--she has DCIS and genetic markers that make her high risk for breast cancer. Let me know any thoughts you have on easing her recovery. Thank you! Joyce Stahmann

David said: For surgery recovery increase high quality protein, zinc, Vitamins C and E, and take Bromelain. Then take herbs like Amla, Gotu Kola, hawthorn , Tuemeric, green tea, etc to stabilise and heal tissue. Long term taking herbs like Turmeric, garlic, etc that help inhibit cancer and pro-cancer genes is probably a good idea.
