Hi, David--Is there any evidence around benefits for stopping herbs for some amount of time and then starting again? I'm thinking about seasonal changes, when you might want to change what you're taking, and also adaptogenic/immune herbs. I'm familiar with your rule about not stopping a protocol while it's working well, and I believe you. I just wonder about switching with the seasons or taking a week off here and there. Thank you!

This question applies to people who need to be taking things over many months and years.

No, there is no evidence treat taking holidays from herbal protocols is useful. I do not have people keep taking the same thing for more than 4-6 months. If your protocol is working after that time things should have changed and the person needs to be re-evaluated.
