References for Patients on high dose opiates

Hi David, I was wondering if you might know any herbalists who work with higher risk patient populations on high dose opiates who are trying to taper down and manage their pain through other means. It would be helpful for me to correspond with them and gain whatever insights I can as I currently have a number of patients that I am trying to navigate through opiate de-escalation while trying to minimize withdrawal but also address their chronic pain through alternative means. I do recall Andrew Bentley talking about herbs for opiate addiction at AHG symposium some years ago but can't remember if this was for patients on high doses. Best, Steve

Andrew Bentley does see some rather interesting cases, he might be worth speaking with. I would also consider Donna Odierna in Berkely.
