Hi David, One, I'm wondering about which species of hibiscus I should plant for medicinal use. The native NC hibiscuses are Hibiscus aculeatus, Hibiscus coccineus, Hibiscus laevis, Hibiscus moscheutos. Same goes for honeysuckle. I'd like to plant a native vining honeysuckle like Lonicera sempervirens, but I'm wondering if it is used for medicine in the same way as the L. japonica. And regarding the ten tastes. I think this question may have already been asked so apologies, and I feel kinda dumb asking it, but based on the printouts and my notes, no matter how I count them, I can't get ten tastess. The species of Hibiscus used is mostly H. sabdarifa. Other species may or may not have similar activity As for Lonicera, only L. Japonica flowers are used.
