Adding glycerin to tinctures

Before I knew about the glycerin trick for high tannin herbs I prepped a batch of ceanothus, which since has started to precipitate a bit. Can a bit of glycerin be added after the fact to get that to smooth out a bit? Or is it a lost cause?

Adding 10% glycerin would probably help prevent further precipitation, but won’t undo what has already occurred.
