Bayberry for allergen induced nasal polyps

Hello David:) I was wondering about the use of Bayberry for nasal polyps. In this case, the individual is highly reactive to native trees/weeds/and grasses, and has had nasal surgery twice to remove them. They keep coming back. I was reading an herbal practitioners guide on polyps by a reputable herbalist, and the recommendation was to use bayberry root powder "in the nose". You can imagine what my mind conjured up on this one! Haha. Is this an effective delivery method? Thank you! Jami Platt

It will make you sneeze your brains out, if used as a snuff and is incredibly drying if used in a neti pot. This is a very old use for Bayberry, but I cannot say I have seen this work for nasal polyps.

David, Thank you. That was my concern. As my daughter is dating this individual, I certainly don't want any brains being sneezed out! Jami
