Cheats Question

If I am using Turmeric (normally a 1/6 herb) as a 1/9 connector herb, but also want to use Licorice (normally a 1/18 herb) as a connector, can I put Licorice in the connector position as a 1/18 herb and then make Turmeric a 1/6 herb (instead of 1/9) in the connector slot? I couldn’t tell from our cheats instructions.
