Hi Wendy, So many women have reported changes to their cycles after having COVID and/or getting the vaccines. Do you think this is because of the inflammation feedback loop we discussed in class—increasing insulin and aromatase and then estrogen? Or is there another mechanism at play? (Is anyone trying to figure that out?) Thanks! Jennifer

Wendy said: Yes, exactly, it's the inflammation!! The cytokines increase inflammation, which cause a reflex increase in COX 2 and PGE 2, etc. There might actually be even more than this, but it's at least a mechanism that we understand is likely going on.
