Hi David (or mabye Amanda might know), I understand from your teachings and stories that you have a garden of your own. If by chance you have Motherwort and Lemon Balm, have you noticed whether the deer or rabbits or other hungry creatures have eaten these plants? I grew them from seed this year and love watching them grow. But they have taken over sections of real estate in my vegetable/herb garden. I'm thinking of moving them to a less protected spot outside the garden fence. I know I'm chancing it with the deer and other wild animals. And I have heard that the Motherwort is a hardy grower. I'm in Zone 6 in NJ, as I think you are as well. Thanks for any experiencial knowledge you might have. Nina

I have Lemon Balm all over my property and the deer, rabbits, etc do not bother it at all. Motherwort is not aromatic, but is quite bitter, so I am a bit less sure as to whether deer may eat some. All my Motherwort is in the fenced garden area, still I have seen a great deal of Motherwort growing wild and it seems to do well.

Awesome! Thanks for the gardening tips! I may try a bit of each outside and keep one inside the garden as a little sanctuary for them. :)
