Herbs with Rosalee / sad nettle

David! Loved your podcast with Rosalee!! What have you found are the best growing conditions for nettle? I'm not having luck with the spot I chose.

Odd, Nettles is not very picky, it does like full to partial sun, well drained soil and it especially likes rich soil (old manure piles), but I have seen it grow in somewhat shady area, slightly damp areas, dry areas, poor soil, etc.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just moved two elders out of a nearby spot...and they are also exponentially happier, so I'm thinking something is going on at that end of the yard. I will get the soil tested....may be too damp with runoff because we are at the bottom of a hill and it's at the bottom of our yard.
