Man it's non-stop the last 4 months with these kiddos. Everyone had a fever last week (my wife included, though I somehow avoided it). My 7 month old just started coughing the last few days, and last night my wife said he projectile vomited a few times from coughing so much. I heard his cough this morning and it made that pretty high pitched sound upon inhalation. Sounds like whooping cough to me. So I've scoured the MM sheets and am coming up with the following, though he's just such a little guy and some of these seem like pretty strong remedies. Black Cohosh Jamaican Dogwood Lobelia Wild Cherry Khella Licorice Sundew Mullein Wild Lettuce California Poppy Skunk Cabbage I have most of these on hand, with the exception of Khella and Skunk Cabbage. I guess I'm having a tough time thinking rationally about it cause honestly I got a bit freaked out doing some more research and finding out that infants can die from this if it progresses to pneumonia. If you can please advise I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you David. Thanks

Ok after doing more research I’m wondering if it’s just stridor from some other kind of infection. Timeline is basically he had fever for 3 days and then started coughing a day or two later. Low grade fever last few days. Seems like pertussis takes a bit longer for the cough to kick in? Maybe croup? It is quite phlegmatic sounding for sure.

Dear Sajah, it is tough being a parent and treating your own children especially for something serious. If it is Pertussis, I would get the bathroom really steamy and put a washcloth on the floor of the shower with a 1-3 gtt of EO of lavender and Oregano. Bring your son into the room with a cozy pillow and blanket and breathe for 15 minutes. You can do this twice per day. Internally most of the herbs you listed are not herbs I prefer to use for 7 month olds but I would make the following tincture formula, Elecampane 1 part, Mullein - 2 parts, Wild Cherry bark - 1 part, Pleurisy root- 1/2 part, Licorice 1/2 part, Sundew 1 gtt. I hope this helps

Thanks David. Luckily it turned out to not be pertussis. It started to clear up a few days ago and the stridor stopped on Tuesday. We talked to our ND and she said it didn’t sound like pertussis due to the timing of everything, incubation period and all. Anyways thanks for your help
