Alcohol Based Tinctures for Children

Hi David, Would it be safe to give a child an alcohol based tincture at a very low dose? A friend of mine is fostering two little boys (age 4 and 6) who have been through a lot of trauma and she's looking for some natural nervous system support for them. I had originally recommended H&A's Kid's Calmpound to her but it's out of stock and with the high dose required for the glycerite formulas there's no way she could afford to keep up with it.

I personally do not have an issue with using small amounts of tinctures in young children (safe herbs diluted in juice). It is to some degree more of what the parent feels comfortable with, than a hard is it ok or not. The Kid’s Calmpound will hopefully be back in stock soon (the move has taken far more time and energy than we had hoped). Teas are also an option.
