How long do you keep patients who are healing their dysbiosis (e.g. SIBO, H. Pylori, pathogenic overgrowths, etc.) on anti-microbial herbs? Because they can also impact beneficial species, I am curious how you approach this. Do you rotate the herbs you use with people on longer-term protocols, if/when symptoms are not improving or for any other reason?

Most antibacterial herbs actually have little effect on healthy gut flora, and how long I use something is highly variable depending on the response to the protocol, I may also change the herbs after 2-3 months, but you can expect to be using them at least that long, as well as Saccharomyses boulardii, bitters, probiotics, postbiotics, etc.
