I have no idea, the iodine content changes from batch to batch when it comes to Bladderwrack and all plant materials, so what is in the tincture widely varies. We do not assay our tinctures for ...
Thanks David.
I ask because some patients are sensitive to Iodine and/or really want to know the amounts they are being given.
The only Bladderwrack product I can find that lists its Iodine content is a capsule from Natures Way. What surprised me is that it's amount of Iodine was comparatively quite low compared to kelp tablet products I've seen (which often list their iodine content).
For example: Natures Way Bladderwrack has Bladderwrack 580 mg containing Iodine 150mcg. While a Kelp tablet product contains 45mg of kelp containing 225mcg of Iodine. So, like you said, all seaweeds contain minerals and iodine but perhaps some contain much more than others.
