Hi, I have had clients with an allergy to aspirin and I'm wondering if it is safe for them to use willow? Thanks, Stephen

Probably. Willow contains Salicin, which chemically is not very similar to Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic acid), the Salicylic acid in Wintergreen, Sweet Birch, etc. is closer chemically to aspirin, but is still not the same, lacking an acetyl group. Having said that while it is unlikely they will react, I cannot guarantee that an allergic reaction is impossible.
