Hi David, Gratitude for an amazing class last night! I have a couple of questions which I hope you’ll be willing to clarify. Firstly - the nettles tincture. It was mentioned that some people have given nettles to their dogs with kidney disease. Were they given a tincture where the mentrum was alcohol? Or would they have been given a glyverite? I guess I, trying to understand the alcohol portion with dogs & kidney issues. Secondly - epigenetics. Would you mind briefly going over how epigenetics can sometimes switch genes on & off? This is fascinating to me. Thank you! Amy

I have a couple of questions which I hope you’ll be willing to clarify. Firstly – the nettles tincture. It was mentioned that some people have given nettles to their dogs with kidney disease. Were they given a tincture where the mentrum was alcohol? Or would they have been given a glyverite? I guess I, trying to understand the alcohol portion with dogs & kidney issues. All tinctures are made with alcohol, so yes, the Nettle seed tincture contains alcohol, but it is a low alcohol extract 30–35% and the dose is low, so the alcohol is not really an issue for the dogs. Secondly – epigenetics. Would you mind briefly going over how epigenetics can sometimes switch genes on & off? This is fascinating to me. We all have genetics predispositions to various issues, but whether they manifest or not, can depend on epigenetics. Smoking increases the risk of som cancers by switching on pro-cancer genetic flows, where eating a diet rich in polyphenols can cut down pro cancer genes. The science of epigenetics is about 15- years old and it explains a great deal how environmental, emotional , lifestyle factors can have significant affects positively or negatively on our health
