Crushing Tea Pills in TCM

Hello, I had a client ask me if she could crush the tiny tea pills that are hard from a TCM formulation by Plum Dragon. Is this something she could do with a mortar and pestle? Would she lose some of the benefits of the formulation from doing this? It’s Free and Easy Wanderer. Is it safe to do this? Thank you!
