When looking at treating the person and not the disease. how do you deal with the side effects of some medications. I understand, if possible, change drugs, but if this is not possible and the person need to remain on this medication, would you look at treating the side effects? or is this to narrow minded? is there still a way to treat the person and not just the reaction to the drug?

We treat the person and account for the medications they are taking. If the medication is causing adverse effects they should speak to the prescribing physician to see if the dose or medication can be changed. If not, then you see if the adverse effects are something herbs can reduce, many times they can but not in every case. So it depends on the person, adverse effects and the medication.
