I’ve been taught in previous herb trainings that herbalists should never tell a client to stop a medication prescribed by another practitioner, even if there are contraindications or concerns about harm. At the same time, I’ve heard other herbalists say they will advise against certain medications. How do you personally navigate that line in clinical practice, especially around scope, safety, and liability? Do you pose it as " informed consent", and tell them you can't take them off of their meds, or do you outright tell them they should stop?
