Hi David - do you have any tools that can be used to define language around the pain/sensations that a client may be feeling? For example, if someone frequently experiences headaches I'm wondering if there are a list of terms that you would reference to help create an understanding between the client and the practitioner of what that pain feels like?

David said: I do not have a list, I have seen one another herbalist created but do not believe it was actually very useful. It was too vague and imprecise. When we do our class on herbal pain relief we will discuss the terms I find useful. For the moment, think sharp, dull, spasmodic, throbbing, tearing, burning, tingling - nerve pain, and location.
