As I listen to you in class I learn more that skin issues and rashes are typically internal imbalances presenting themselves, usually originating from the liver. I had made an appointment with Rich with the main complaint of horrible menstrual pain/bleeding and a secondary complaint of red, itchy, patchy and dry spots only located around the perimeter of my underarms that has been there for a year but appeared out of the blue. He put me on a protocol that hasnt had enough time to work and Im not looking for recommendations, I just want to understand more about why my skin is showing these signs and why it presented itself. I am not sure if it is autoimmune related, tied in with the menstrual issues.... are you able to narrow down pathology of possibilities so I can understand the pieces a little better about myself?

David said: First it is not always the liver, the gut is equally an issue (loss of intestinal epithelial barrier function, constipation, slow transit time, intestinal dysbiosis) and in some cases autoimmunity, allergy or hormone imbalance is the cause of skin issues. Without knowing your case it is impossible to know why you have this skin issue. It could be many things including your deodorant, leaky gut, a hormonal issue, liver insufficiency, nutrient deficiency (especially vitamin A and D), etc.
