I’m wondering if it’s common for clients to experience temporary reactions ( or an adjustment period) when starting hormone-modulating herbs, like amphoterics or SERMS (e.g., Shatavari and Licorice). For example, could someone with a history of Imbalances , experience initial symptoms like breast tenderness, mood swings, or heavier bleeding before their hormones stabilize and symptoms normalize over time? Also, would these fluctuations suggest that the formula may need further adjustment, or is it just a matter of the body going through an adjustment period? Thanks for your insight!

David said: Either could be true, I think if you get the formula “right”, issues like this are less likely to occur, but some women are more sensitive to change. Being sure not only to address hormones, but also bowel function, liver function and HPA axis function also help make changes easier.
