Hi David, I believe you mentioned in class that you use a tincture of blood root topically for lumps. Would you please expand on this? What is the % alcohol for tincturing? Is this tinctured as a dried herb? Do you mix anything with it for topical application? What precautions do you take if any? Can the tincture be mixed with an ointment such as Vitamin E ointment for ease of application? Do you rinse it off right away or bandage it for 24 hours? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

I did not say “lumps”. I said I use it for skin tags and actinic keratosis. The tincture is made from the dried root, 1:5, 60% ETOH. I do not wipe it off I leave it on and let it dry. It can be done once or twice per day and no Vitamin E for other such topical applications do not as far as I know offer any additional benefits for these conditions.
