Hi David, what better thing to do on a snowy day than plan your garden? For the northeast- what are your top ten plants (besides holy basil and any cooking herbs) that you consider a must have for an herbalists' garden- either because they are so easy to grow, or because they are best harvested fresh, or it is hard to source them, or because you love them so much? Feel free to list more than 10 if you are feeling it! Thank you! Jessa

I grow a lot of aromatics, because our huge deer population leaves them alone - Lemon Balm, Jiaogulan (not aromatic, but it grows well), Motherwort, Yarrow, Black Cohosh (if you have woodlands), Bergamot (Monarda), Elecampane, Evening Primrose, Mullein, Valerian, Skullcap, Roses, Meadowsweet and Echinacea if you don’t have deer.
