Is there ever a time to use a cold dry herb in a cold dry patient if the herb otherwise is well indicated for their symptoms? Thanks! Marie

Herbs are usually used in formulas, so a cold dry herb might be used as small part of a larger formula with other herbs that are warming and moistening. But in general I wouldn’t be using much (if any) of a cold dry herb in a person who has cold dry symptoms.
