Hi Andrew? Wondering how you typically formulate. Standard TCM formulas, a base of a standard TCM formula you add your own herbs to, Triunes, or...??? How do you decide with each client what type of formula to use? If you don't have success with one type do you try a different type? Thank you, Jessa

Andrew said: The type of formula I use mostly depends on my client's preferences. Sometimes I make a TCM formula out of bulk herbs and the client decocts them. Other times I have the TCM pharmacy compound granules. Sometimes I mix tinctures. Sometimes I use pre-made capsules or pre-made TCM granule formulas. I do not typically use triunes because my practice is to see people every 2-4 weeks and modify the formula routinely. Triunes are great for long-term formulations- if you want someone to be on a formula for 3-6+ months and you know the herbal selection works for the client. Primarily my decision is made based upon what the client is willing to use. Moral of the story is: If you don't use the herbs, they definitely won't work!
