Hi Andrew, WOW is all I can say right now! Ha ha. Question- in taking notes, I tend to want to use TCM as an acronym like I might use H20 for water- because it is faster than writing out Chinese Medicine. Do you think any time you say Chinese medicine I can rightfully type TCM? Or are you choosing very carefully what you say and when? If there is a distinction between TCM and Chinese Medicine, what would it be? Thank you! Jessa

Andrew said: Hang in there! TCM is a big journey... tough, but super rewarding to be able to look at life from a different perspective! In general, you could probably write TCM. I am trying to teach TCM standardized medicine. However, I do frequently fill in information from other styles. I can't help myself! I am a very eclectic herbalist. Even within East Asian Medicine I am very eclectic. For example, last class I mentioned Worsley style, this is not TCM but belongs to the East Asian Medicine family of theories. I mentioned Kampo at some point which is a Japanese style of herbal medicine. I like to reference these other styles simply to broaden perspectives and give more context. Again, our class focuses on TCM style, specifically, herbal theory. So, the "meat" of the information you will learn in these classes is TCM.
