Ginger and Bai Xia

I am starting to put 1 + 1 and getting more than 2. My questions are changing since the synergy class. If Ginger is an antidote for Bai Xia poisoning, is Ginger put into the formula that has Bai Xia to lower the toxicity? or is strictly used just in cases of poisoning?

As I mentioned in class it is used both to reduce toxicity but also to enhance its activity for treating nausea.
