Hi David,
I have a patient with colon cancer who has undergone chemo and also surgery to the colon. After the last surgery (now over one year ago), his sexual function has changed. He is able to orgasm, but it's quite different from pre-surgery - sometimes it takes much longer, sometimes it's very sensitive and he'll become erect and orgasm very quickly -- and since the surgery, he has not ejaculated. The doctors are telling him it's not a big deal since he's not trying to have any more children, but he is understandably concerned. I believe the reason that this has happened is because of nerve damage to nerves that control ejaculation (I think). Do you have any ideas of what might be helpful? Have you seen any similar such cases? He is getting acupuncture and pelvic floor PT - which have helped many things, but not the ejaculation issue.
