Rich said: Just had to explain this (again) to a client yesterday! This is 100% unequivocally not an issue. The idea that reishi for instance would further mycotoxins is nonsense - there is not a shred of remotely decent science to show that to be the case, and practitioner experience - mine and many many others - shows us that the mushrooms as lung/respiratory and immune system tonics, are incredibly helpful. This would be equivalent to someone with Lyme - a bacterial infection - saying that eating fermented or cultured foods like yogurt would worsen the infection because the culture is bacterial; i.e. illogical. Plus, with mold it is breathing in the spores that is dangerous - if you were to close yourself in a room with large clouds of reishi spores, well maybe that would not be the best idea. But that is not what we are doing when we decoct the fruiting body. That whole thing is a meme with a life of its own and you can totally ignore it.
