Nettle for Bell’s palsy

Rich mentioned that he had used nettles as a counter irritant, topically for Bell’s palsy. Would you use that as a single? Would you add perhaps Hypericum oil topically? B vitamins internally? Thank you.

I cannot speak for Rich, but the nettles are used by whacking yourself with fresh nettles to get the “sting”. It increases blood circulation. I doubt anyone would only do this. One of the more effective treatments for Bell’s Palsy (especially if caused by Lyme disease) is oral use of methylcobalamin. I use herbs internally as well for this condition (St John’s wort, Mullein root, Prickly Ash).
