I have a smallish (approx 20K of stock) TCM herbal pharmacy with formulas, topicals and plasters. With this course I want to add a raw herb pharmacy for western herbs to make teas for my patients...plus more western herbs from various companies. I will price it out on a spreadsheet before purchasing. Do you have anyone who has moved from a straight TCM pharmacy to a mix? I lost 20k from my pharmacy during the pandemic so I'm trying to still be careful as i regrow it so that i don't lose too much money when i try to add in a different way of practicing. I'm already a tcm herbalist, but a shy one, as in i only treat about 20-25 patients per week with herbs, even though i see 50 patients a week with acupuncture and herbs. I don't charge extra for an herbal consult, but i'd like to move towards separating them. Is there anyone who can mentor me in this process who may have gone through this so my biz doesn't lose too much money in the changeover?
I'm also moving toward making my clinic a teaching institution where we hold affordable classes. I'm drafting class ideas and asking all my friends to participate. Any mentors you can suggest for creating that?
I find it's helpful not to try to reinvent the wheel but ask what other people who have made the same transition have done before me.
