If you put together a tincture formula, which in total consists of 9 or 10 parts, and 1 part of it is Rhodiola, would you still advise persons who already have sleep issues or a light sleep to avoid taking it in the evenings? Or would you rather say that the 1/9 or 1/10 is such a small amount of – say the 2 to 4 mL the person takes in the evening – that the Rhodiola`s effect of keeping sensitive people awake at night is neglectable? Thank you.

The maximum number of herbs I use in a simple tincture formula is 7 and in a triune 9. So if Rhodiola was 1/9 of a formula, it would be less likely cause insomnia, but it would not be very effective for anything else. Too small amounts of herbs are usually ineffective. I am not a believer in micro-dosing most herbs (drop doses) except for potentially toxic herbs.
