I know David has told us that we will have 48 hours (I think!) clinical hours from the 2 year program. The AHG has forms to fill out for our clinical hours that come from our mentors. Will David be giving us anything to use for that? Thanks!

And to clarify... do we just get clinical hours for our time with David or our these mentorship clinical hours - since AHG does differentiate between these 2 aspects of our 400 hours. Also, the AHG wants our clinical hours done in 2 years, so wondering if we can even use all of these hours since they will occur over a 4 year period?

Hi Joni, The 2-year class is about 780 total hours (350+ in class and 430 at home), so the 2-year class covers a student's 2-year educational requirement. Once we begin triune formulating in the last half of the 2nd year, a student will receive up to approximately 48 clinical hours. If a student takes the 2 year program plus the 2-1 year programs, that gives them approximately 100 total of the 400 clinical hours they need towards professional membership. The other 300 clinical hours must be one on one consultations. They can be done through the AHG mentorships program, independently (they need to be documented) or with mentorships of your own devising (local free clinics, working with local practitioners, etc). FYI - the info above is in a pdf under important docs if you want to download and keep it before the class is taken down March 1, 2023.

Thank you for the reply. I was aware of all of that information... I think I did not word my question well. Of the 400 hrs - 100 has to be mentored, and the other 300 on our own. My question is - are the hours we get in David's program considered "mentored hours" of the 100 or just part of the other 300 hours we do on our own? Hope this is more clear. Sorry for the confusion on me not communicating clearly! Thanks!

No, those clinical hours are not considered mentored hours, but mentorship is not mandatory (as far as we know.) I'll reach out to them and see what they say.....

Ok spoke to Rachel at the AHG office - she said: There are 400 required clinical hours for the professional membership. 100 of those hours CAN be used in a school clinical setting or with a mentor, but this is not required.
