Anesthesia duration in brain post-surgery

Hi Everyone, I want to correct something I said in the chat last night: In her class on cancer, Chanchal Cabrerra said anesthesia can take up to four years to clear the brain, not five. Also, the person who told her this is an anesthesiologist who specializes in brain surgeries, not a brain surgeon. My apologies for the misinformation. That said...four years is still a long time, and I'm interested in ways we can support cognition post-surgery, and help detox/clear the drugs from the body. If any of you have experience with/knowledge about this, please chime in! Lisa
