Hello classmates, A couple case histories ago, someone asked about herbs for methylation and David referred them to the Gastroenterology lecture, where he said there was a whole paragraph in this article about methylation. I have not been able to find what he was referring to (searched the gastro handouts, as well as any other place I could think of and still couldn't find it). Has anyone else had any luck finding the methylation discussion that he referenced? Thanks so much! Donna

On page 11 of the article under Liver Damage and Hepatoprotective Herbs, David mentions Phase II detoxification, but accidentally left out methylation as one of the pathways (he mentions sulfation, glucuronidation, acetylation, and conjugation with glutathione). That is all that I found. For more information see my paper in Student Projects "The Role of Plants in Detoxification."
